Being a mother is a full-time job that comes with its own unique set of challenges that requires endurance, strength, and resilience. Just like a spiritual athlete, a mother is constantly training, striving, and overcoming obstacles to reach her goals. From sleepless nights to balancing work, family, and personal time, mothers have to juggle multiple responsibilities every day. Despite the struggles and pains that come with motherhood, it is a beautiful journey that is full of love and rewards.
When we become mothers, we train ourselves to be patient, loving, and kind, even in the face of adversity. We learn to put others before ourselves, to sacrifice our own needs and wants for the sake of our children. And sometimes, despite all our efforts, our children don't show us the love and gratitude we deserve.
It's easy to feel hurt and discouraged when our children don't appreciate us, but as spiritual athletes, we have to learn to persevere. We have to keep training, keep pushing ourselves to be better, even when it's hard.
We can find comfort in the Bible, that we are appreciated and what we do does not go unseen. I Corinthians 15:58 tells us, “be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.” Our hard work is not in vain. We have the power to shape our children's lives and teach them about God's love. Let us celebrate all mothers on this special day and remind them of their worth and value. In Proverbs 31:28, it says, "Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her."
It can be overwhelming balancing everything. We have to be wives, mothers, and often times business owners or career women. We have to juggle multiple responsibilities, often at the same time. But we have to remember that we are strong, capable, and resilient.
In the end, the joy and love we feel for our children make all the struggles and pains worth it. And as spiritual athletes, we know that every challenge we face is an opportunity to grow and become even stronger.
So, to all the mothers out there, happy Mother's Day. Keep training, keep pushing yourself, and know that you are loved and appreciated, even if your children don't always show it. You are all spiritual athletes, and you are doing an amazing job.
